That variable speed polisher is a BEAST for low speed high-torque work. It's geared for low speed but has a 11a motor on it. Now add that to a gearbox that's set up for 1750 max RPM.
No, it's definitely not as fast as a 9" angle grinder. But it has torque for days that even a big 15a grinder can't touch.
