I don't know the measurements but 4' on the sides is best to have for ease of access to vehicles and obstacles, with 3' between bays.

This design uses too much of the floor space.... Need to build a loft for the bedroom, bath and kitchen but then the stairs will take up some space. May be better to just park a travel trailer outside.

Only has one problem, it's too small.

I always laugh when I read stuff like this. I've spent so little of my life in areas where building codes were in force, that I find the idea that people's minds are consumed with the minutiae of their local codes entertaining.

Please be aware when you feel the urge to display your intimate knowledge of your local building code officials' picayune rules that this is a world-wide forum. Even if it were a US only group, many areas don't share your codes, and certainly not your local officials' interpretations of them. Some areas have far stricter codes. (don't try building ANYTHING in a historic village in England!)

In the parts of the Rocky Mountain west where I've spent my life, you can build pretty much whatever you want, however you want. If the local building officials even require a permit, its only purpose is to assure that you comply with the setbacks and then that the local tax assessor knows you added value to your place so they can raise your ad Valorem taxes.
