You all are bad influences. I really need one of these like I need another hole in my head--but I just bought one.

I'm tempted to rig it up with a small, low-speed motor so I can watch it turn.... Kinetic shop sculpture!

If you've never seen one in action, the bent rods do an intricate little dance as it turns.
Please post a video, i'd like to see this thing in action!

I bought four of them, all interconnected in a loop. I turned the first one, which then turned the second, which turned the third, which turned the fourth, which turned the first one again. All on its own. Perpetual motion. And I invented it. Batman better hope I never fall into a vat of acid...

Here is a tool I took a chance on, and bought on a whim. And I'm so glad I did. Especially my wife. We use it everytime we buy something that is sealed in that RF frequency, heat sealed packaging.

Thousands of people every year end up in hospital emergency rooms, cut up from trying to open this type of sealed packaging with razor blades, box cutters, and the like. I got it from Harbor Freight, and it has a rechargeable battery.

It can be used for other tough cutting jobs as well. Mine came with an extra cutting wheel.

We use scissors. never had to go to the hospital for opening a package.

Wouldn’t a ratchet fit anywhere that would?
I could see that working to get up and over an obstacle. Though I'm not sure that I generally face this problem very often. Don't think it's something I'd really buy, but sometimes gadgets like these save the day when working in really tight spots in an engine bay or something.

So a ratchet and an extension?

Eduardo, does the tool above do a similar job as yours?
no, the tool above is a right angle tool only and i think is not very functional since you can't hold it with your hands because it will be turning all the time, my tool is smaller, work as a right angle tool too, multiply the speed while working and don't stop working when the screw gets too loose, also can be used with a ratchet wrench by connecting it between the ratchet and the socket and will change the movement of the ratchet from horizontal to vertical, i would like to be able to send pictures or videos but i can't at this moment

I get it, can't share pics or whatever....... but the thread title is clickbait!

I'm also curious but by the time if/when this ever comes out, I will have forgotten about it.

Oh, I just thought of a scenario. If there isn’t enough room to move the ratchet back and forth.

Im slow, but I catch on eventually.lol

How about a ratchet handle that you can turn like a torque wrench that will spin the anvil? That would be pretty cool!

Pick your color. Available in Facom, Blackhawk, Stanley, and even Craftsman. I have one and it's meh. The head is huge and the backdrag is crazy. But I get it. It serves a special purpose. It would be better if there was a square drive at the end of the handle.

Maybe I'm confused maybe I'm not. Does spinning the handle ratchet the anvil? Like if you don't have any arc room or you just want to quickly finish removal?

That's right. And what's more, you can twist the handle in either direction and it will always move the Anvil in the same direction based on whichever direction the reversing switch is set.

So the differential/driveshaft operated by turning the handle and the gear/pawl operated by swinging the handle are two independent mechanisms?

Or are you saying the opposite...spinning the handle either way will turn the anvil whichever way the traditional ratchet selector is set?

Don't mean to sound obtuse. I've never heard of this tool before.

The mac tools version of this for tite spots. I know I want this. Low profile, and when you can't get any arc-throw from a ratchet. The mac and SnapO are impact rated.

There are some screwdrivers that are geared and can lock/ratchet in different directions. I have not seen a ratchet like that myself.
I do have this tool that can be commonly found in KTM motorcycle tool kits that come with the bikes. VERY useful.
