This is why service is equally as important as the tool

Without going into unneeded details, I will state the following:

If Astro Pneumatic makes a tool I need, they will receive my business. Always.

I had a very small issue with one of my Astro tools. It wasn't an emergency and the issue didn't affect me negatively. I called them, stated my issue and was told they'd handle it. Chris sent me a DM through the board, relaying the same message. I told him "thank you" and that it wasn't a rush.

A few days later I had a delivery from Astro. Included in the package was the resolution to my small issue. To my surprise there was what I guess we can say was some 'apology items' which was completely unnecessary. The thought of the act meant more to me than the items.

While Astro might not have a giant manufacturing facility here in the great USA they do have a team of people that are probably just like us. They work hard every day and care a great deal about our satisfaction. Probably safe to say that none of them drive a Ferrari but they certainly make the effort to help Astro be as successful as possible where their efforts reward them comfortable and happy lives.

The item always introduces you to the company but it's the people that keep you coming back.

Chris- thank you.

With best regards,
-- Dave

Glad they took care of you. They offered to sell me replacement parts for a ratcheting crimping tool that failed on me. It turned me off as the tool was simply a rebranded tool available cheaper from many sources. I thought by spending extra to get it from Astro I would receive better service down the road. Compared this to my experience with Blue Point on a rebranded tool; they sent me the part in 2 days no questions asked.

I can't remember what the part cost ~$20, but if I want a tool that Astro sells that is rebranded I just buy it from whoever is cheaper knowing that they don't stand behind their stuff. Not to say I haven't bought stuff from them since, but it certainly has turned me away when the option is there.

I’ve been impressed with his knowledge about the tools and manufacturing side. He’s as candid as he can be about what they make and offer. And the fact that he checks in here regularly, answers questions and helps us out sealed the deal for me. If they make a tool I need, AP ends up high on the list. Only wish I learned about them sooner.

I just put them in my Bookmarks been looking for a brand to switch too. And a brand that wants to take care of the customer. I am a diyer and a small business owner. So the service end means a lot to me as well as price. Cant get Snappy or Matco to come to the house which is where my business is out of. So Astro will get my business from now on until proved otherwise. Hopefully i can get a catalog sent to the house. Gotta do it old school do not have internet in the shop yet lol.
