LAF ....................That would not be the way I would go about getting the oil up. I would say if you keep spilling oil on the floor, keep cleaning it up :)

That's a great idea. Who wouldn't want to lay on THAT floor and work on a vehicle?
maybe you have never worked no an oil stained floor? its no different.i am talking about a new floor. I am just staining it all at once so its even.

but you never get all the oil up. if you have ever worked on a floor that wasnt coated it would be no different. I am not talking about leaving a film of sticky oil on top. just a light coating to seal it from little drops all over the place.
explain to me why this wouldnt work and if you just want to be sarcastic dont bother replying.

Get a regular concrete curing compound / sealant. Applied correctly, it should allow you to wipe most oils and other chemicals up.

Purposely spilling oil might make you a target for an EPA inspection if one of your neighbors decides to rat you out. Not good.

Your homeowner's insurance company might have something to say about you having an oil coated garage floor too since it's an increased fire hazard.

Unless you plan on doing a lot of welding or grinding, look at a DIY epoxy flooring system like Rust Oleum EpoxyShield Pro or U-Coat It.

i do alot of welding. i am not sure how my neighbors would ever find out about oil on my floor. I dont see how its more flammable than a floor covered with oil stains. i will try it out and let you guys know how it works.
