Own it, and don't find it scary in the least, but then I've been using large right-angle drills almost every working day for 30+ years. Clutches on them are a fairly new idea. A little common sense goes a long way, or at least it should.
I grew up working summers with my father roughing in houses, and we ran a Milwaukee Hole Hawg with 2-3" and bigger wood boring bits. That thing would flat out break bones if you didnt respect it, and would throw you off a ladder without the least bit of provocation. Clutch feature would have been nice, but we learned quick not to screw around with that drill!
Good stuff Milwaukee. I used em over the years too, and at the end of a long week it is easy to forget the respect which that tool demanded. Less Work Comp is good.
They brace them against a hip demonstrating. In the real world your hip ain't there. The clutch sounds like a great feature. I bet the prices of used corded angle drills falls.
