Man, I only logged in for the first time a couple days ago, since then I've gotten addicted to this site! Lots of neat information on tools, projects, restoration, garages, lots of pics, I can't get enough of it! It's renewed my interest in old tools, which is most important to me.

Very cool site!

Sorry, don't mean to sound like I'm foaming at the mouth like I'm a groupie or something. Just this site is turning out better than I expected. Glad to be here!

I know what you mean... Since visiting this site I'm now in search of a larger and vintage vise... My old 3-1/2 just seems so inadequate... lol...

I couldn't agree more, very addictive. I say get out before ya get sucked in, but it is too late. This site has given me so many ideas on new projects, that my checkbook just can't keep up.

Be advised, there is no known cure.

We are working on a cure - daily doses of Craftsman-bashing threads.
Seems to be working...

All in jest, of course. Even that won't cure us. Welcome aboard.

....I've gotten addicted to this site!

Sorry, don't mean to sound like I'm foaming at the mouth....

What? Like you think we're all NOT foaming at the mouth like groupies? Lol. Why do you think we call our picture threads, "****"?

I come here multiple t
imes every single day to get ideas... and yes, it's cost me lots of money.

HA! Quess how many times I've been late to work because of this site. I tell myself in the morning, "dont go near the computer", next thing I know it's 7:50 and I've got 10 minutes & 20 miles of traffic to get to work.

Other than the ocassional power outage which is only a temp fix, this place is terminal. You'll be here till the end.

Welcome to GJ.

Laptop + UPS, and a UPS on the networking boxes in the garage, and I sail through most short outages, (up to about 4-6 hours)

The more I look around here, the more I like this new hobby. I really enjoy going to flea markets and garage sales, and junkyards, and finding neat stuff. This site has given me a new interest in tools, and I get a rush out of "saving" stuff from the places I go to. Nothing gives me a feeling of accomplishment more than getting something like USA-made tools at a garage sale, it makes me feel like I've saved it from the junkpile or from an owner who won't appreciate it as much. Digging through a tool bin and finding pieces made by Plomb, Proto, Indestro, Wright, Fairmount, Williams, S-K, Snap-On, Cman, etc. from all the other non-worthy **** tools makes me feel like I've snatched them from someplace very bad. I can't explain why. I don't think many here can.

Glad to be a part of the addiction!

...and before you know it you'll paint every cabinet in your garage an interesting shade of green...

Guilty as charged. But in my own defence, my garage was going with a jeep theme.

Whatever you do, limit yourself to two or three hours a week of geeking out over Jack's garage.

What is it now 4 years and I still haven't finished my garage all the way. Maybe I'm injoying the journey to much.
