I am attempting to help out someone out by posting however the site won't allow me to leave a message in the thread. I also attempted to begin a thread however I was not allowed to because I had to have 5 posts before I can start a thread. I can't start a thread unless I have made 5 posts and I can't make any posts to get to the minimum of 5 posts. I am not sure why you have to have 5 posts minimum before you can start a thread. It kind of seems like a bit of an exclusive club that outsiders are only welcome after you have been here a while.

you are probably wanting to reply to a classified thread, none of us can do that. you have to PM the poster.
5 posts to start a thread? that must be new to ward off spammers. I know the site got hit hard a few days ago with spammers. I for one have no use for the spammers.
it's a small price for a great board. hang around, you'll likely agree .

You should try and join in and become part of the forum and not be so negative. It used to be 100 posts before you could post a classified. It would also be nice if you introduced yourself in the intro area and it would be great if you added your location as others may not trust you with a post like you have made being so shall we say negative.

Not just spammers but scammers as well.

Ten posts removed due to the fact they are not constructive and they also do not help in this topic. Those of you who posted such suggestions should be ashamed of yourself. Post boosting to up your post count can become a banning offence on this forum.

If such suggestions promotes spammers or scammers then do not ask Admin or Mods for help as we do our best to look after both new and old members on this forum. In this case we are trying to help a new member asking questions.

Unless it has come about in the last few days, there is no rule about a five post minimum. Like the others have mentioned, No member can reply to a classified thread. If you would have read the rules at the top of that section, you'd already be aware of it.

"Comply with code!"

Things are pretty-simple, to get-on and to participate. Be civil, helpful, and avoid politics and religion, and you should be able to have many posts on here.

Complaining with a "one-post count" isn't how to enter the forum. Reading and understanding the rules, and following them, will get you going.

I suspect you could have made it to five posts in about an hour, just by looking-at the 'new posts,' reading some topics of personal interest, and then by posting some positive comments in each.

Read the rules. Most new posters won't comply with the rules . Too much trouble to read and get their one post wonder into the main stream.

Ryan created this for a information site.
