Hi Guys, Thought I'd stop lurking and say hi!!

I have spent sooooo long drooling over your garages and projects, I envy you all!!

Now it's time to say hello!.

I don't have a garage, but have been using a friends whilst restoring his '50 chevy 3100, so as you can imagine I'm no stranger to the joys of garage life, it's just right now I have to borrow someone elses!!!!!

This is a real long shot, but does anyone with a BIG garage want a british panel and paint man to come and spend long hours in their garage in return for some lodgings on a short term basis??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You think I'm joking right??!!! :headshake

Oh and by the way, this must be the best subject on the internet!!!

5 series with rust spots starting to show up (no rot) and in bad need a paint/ No major damage.
3 series track car, couple dents here and there. Failed clear coat. Not completely necessary for a car destined for track, but hey you offered. :)

Addictive is right! I joined for info as I built my garage and I still find myself on here everyday. It sure helps me enjoy my garage even more.

Hello, my name is Kurt and I am a GJ addict... How many more steps to I have to go?

Seriously, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one that likes to hang out in the Garage.

Oh, it's addictive alright.

I used to spend a lot of time on a Pontiac site, but realized that here I had better people, better topics, and you can really find someone to help you with just about any question you might have.

How do you guys add this site to the toolbar?

Addictive, yes. And good gravy, how does one keep up with everything on here? There is so much. I can usually only pop in once a day and there are twelve pages of new posts. Then my last visited time gets updated halfway through them and the rest are lost. How do y'all handle this?

The time last visited in the upper right corner. Halfway through my checking the pages and pages of new posts this time updates to the current time. Then when I try to go to the next page, it doesn't exist anymore and the rest of the pages of new posts are lost. I wish this did not automatically update but rather only updated when I mark all posts as read.

So you lose track of which posts are new, that's the issue?

I am sure that time issue can be addressed. Mine says the last time I visited here was 8:55 last night, but I have been on here for hours now.

Try playing around with the settings.

Go to the User CP link at the top-left of the page. Then you will be taken to a page with different categories. Find the section for "Thread Display Options." There are four things to tweak in there. I have never played with them for my account, but perhaps one of them will solve your problem? Let me know if it works.
