This box is a mystery to me. In rough shape. The row of holes along the front are widely spaced and there’s eight. My guess was tune-up or spark plug service box, and Looked for awhile. Three more baby goats today, and associated problems…

I believe you got it, the number of holes in the front part is lower, but it stands to reason that an older set would have less adapters. Thank you!
