You going to really like that 80 tooth if you haven't spun one yet. I was sold on mine the first time I used it

I bought the non-soft grip version of that and have been very happy with it.

I have the metal handled 1/4 flex ratchet - its very nice and a pleasure to use. I tried the one with the locking switch, and it sucked. Swapped them out after a day.

Is that the new ratchet where they have the center push button lock similar to the craftsman? I looked at one of those last Friday. Not too sure on that yet...

I'm not sure how new it is - this was about 9 months ago. It was a dual80 1/4 flex ratchet with the black button lock that kind of slid up and over. My hand always bumped it out of position, making it not locked. I also didn't like the way the button felt on my hand when I was using the ratchet. Its almost like I always had to be concious of the button while using it.
Sounds like nitpicking, I know... but the little fucker was like $100. I'm gonna nitpick the **** out of it.
Now, the non-locking ratchet... thats a keeper.

No thats not the one I'm thinking of. This one has the center push button lock on it similar to the craftsman ratchets. According to my SO guy they just came out within the last week or two. He had almost a dozen sets on his truck and almost everyone says the same thing that they remind them of craftsman. Plus paying almost $100 a pop for these damn things, looking at the button would remind me of my $25 sears special.

That is a great one, no doubt. Put one of these on your list to check out too, this is now the quarter inch ratchet I use virtually all of the time.

nice ratchet!! I'd like to pick up some more flex handle or roto ratchets soon

I have a duralast flex handle I got for free, but in general I'm really not crazy about non locking. I use a 1/4" matco locking one regularly and I highly prefer the locking. Either way they're both WAY better than the low end Craftsman flex handle ratchet, mine has had so much play in the head since new it's essentially useless in most cases with the horrible slop and low tooth count, not to mention every time you put any force on it the thing pops to the next setting and goes falling into your face.
