Anybody have any T&B hand tools? I have some that I have purchased off Ebay but can't seem to find any suppliers on line. Seem to be of good quality maybe even better than Klein.

I've had a pair of terminal crimpers for 20yrs. I used them for 10yrs at work, and they're still like new. Worth every penny.

They are very well known for their electrical connectors (stay kon) and the respective crimping tools. I don't understand how you can't find a supplier online. Almost all of the big industrial and electrical places carry their stuff. What do you mean by hand tools? To my knowledge they only make electrical specific tools. Not wrenches, sockets or the like mechanics hand tools. :dunno:

I have had the terminal crimpers also. Great quality flat out. I was just checking some part numbers of the hand tools and they are showing obsolete. If I get some time I will post some pictures of what I have. The crimpers are still available so thats good.

i've always considered any thomas and betts (and AMP) tools out there, mainly crimpers, to be of the highest quality; real industrial grade stuff. they were VERY expensive new and i'd expect them to really go the distance if taken care of. i'm not so sure about some of their more general line of hand tools. does anyone know if that current stuff is US-made like klein and ideal? the old T&B stuff is definitely worth keeping!

My type-f compression tools are T&B, those have been through the wringer for many years, I can't count how many times they have hit the ground from more than 20 feet and they just keep on crimping.

Above are correct - high quality crimpers, and also wire tie installation tools.

I have some crimpers that I picked up at a pawn shop for a couple of $. They have a black handle and an orangish red handle. Good pliers

I have a set of crimpers for insulated and non insulated terminals. They are 12-13 years old and while the grips are worn they still work very well. Still cut good and crimp like the day I bought them. I own a bunch of others that are almost new and still use these because they are worn in just right.

I have the crimper. It served front line duty for about 12 years. The last two or so the cutters were so damn dull it hardly could cut 18 gauge wire. I finally broke down and replaced my trusty crimper with an SO one. It lives a life of easy in my home box now, last seeing action a month or so ago fixing an extension cord the GF sliced with the hedge trimmers.

They are definitely superior to Klein crimpers.

I've used WT111M and WT112M crimpers for years. Just checked and they are still available on Amazon.

I have a T&B tie wrap tensioning tool and I'd rate it even better then Panduit.

I got lucky and found it on Ebay super cheap.

not really sure if their superior to klein. I have klein in my bag and t&b in my cart. Both are 15 plus yrs old, I use both daily and both are excellent crimpers.
