Thor colors

Hi All,

I am going to start the restoration process on my 1940's Thor worm drive saw and decided to go all out. It will get cleaned, new bearings and painted etc. But what I need to know is what color was the saw painted originally? Was it painted? I found a little bit of red on it around the name but that is all. Was the rest of the saw silver?

I found this from 1945, but alas I am not one to help you on colors because I am color blind. I hope at least this will help you out a little bit.

Thanks Woody. Mine is a bit different than the 7 1/4 listed, so maybe it is later. But it was really neat to see the numbers in their catalogue. I think that red and silver are the colors.

Will do. I looked at the catalogue and the weight is about right 15#. It will get taken apart and repainted, relubed, rebearinged etc.
