Thor Speed Grinder

I have been looking for an old Craftsman Bench Grinder but in the mean time I ran across this guy... a Thor Speed Grinder. It will keep me busy cleaning it up and putting my colors on it.

Found it on Craigslist for $30 with two additional wheels.

It looks to be a late 50's to early 60's model. Any ideas?

and a parts manual was sold on Ebay so you may be able to find another one. It appears to be a jewelers grinder at 1/4 horsepower. Missing the toggle switch but should not be hard to replace. Well worth 30.00 for light work. It would look great restored.

Yep, 30 bucks is good for that little grinder. Thor was a decent tool brand.

I have seen the Montgomery Ward version of this small bench grinder at an estate sale and almost bought it. Would be good for small work.

Finally got this guy cleaned up and painted and finished off today. Safety Red for the body and Gloss Black for the end covers, assembled with Black Oxide Socket Head screws and a new power cord.
