Anyone have good luck with Thorogood boots? I've had a few pairs over the years (work on tile, standing 8+ hours daily), and I've had problems with one boot of multiple pairs squeak with every step. The company had me return one pair and they seemed there was a defect with a shank causing the squeak, but the replacement pair they sent has developed the same issue...

I wear the 6" moctoe wedge sole with safety toe daily for the last three years. No squeeks. Maybe try a different style. Which ones do you have?

I bought some composite tow awhile ago. I wasn't impressed with the initial fit or build quality so I moved them along. They double stitch where other brands triple stitch and I detest work boots with no tongue padding. My go to for the passed 10+ years have been Chippewa soft toe but I also really like my Carolina composite toe.

I ordered a pair of the moctoe boots three weeks ago to try. They are on backorder until the end of November. They are my yearly boots paid for by my employer. I called Thorogood and the rep stated that they were way behind. Hopefully they are worth the wait

I mostly live in a pair of Chaco sandals from March to November. (unless I fire up a welder or machine tool) Then I'm back in foot prisons when the weather turns cool. I've got a pair of Thorogood 804-6905 Oxfords. They have slip and shock resistance soles, steel toes and something else that I can't remember. They're decent shoes but the best safety shoes I've ever owned were Knapp shoes. I loved their "square toed" design. All day comfortable and long lasting. If I'd known they were gonna go under, I'd have bought about 10 pairs and stockpiled 'em.

I get about a year and a half out of them.
WAY better than Carolina, not as good as old (real) Doc Martens.
unfortunately, getting hard to find...

Dont have much to compare them to other then some KEEN, Thorogoods are much nicer.

My pair of 6" Moc Toe Wedges have lasted 5+ yrs in steel fab! Crazy comfy, no squeaks.
