Yes you are correct. Thorsen did move to Texas, to be exact, Fort Worth, Texas. The Thorsen Facility was a abbriviated manufacturing facility, with I beleive about 50% of it's manufacutring subcontracted out.
I had a few years back, the last year that Thorsen produced a catalog of U.S. made tools.
This was about 1988. A aerial photo (artist) was posted in the inside jacket as I recall.
I think Thorsen jetisoned this plant to Martin Manufacutring Company(Precision Gears) of Fort Worth, which is about the time Martin began making hand tools.
