Those are for hipsters to put in their back pocket to mimic a can of Skoal. pretty sure I saw the same thing at HF, only in green, which lends it even more cool.

At least they used those stupid fluted combo sae/metric sockets on there to ensure the thing is as useless as possible....

That reminds me, some Russian asked me to jump his semi, and pulled one out of his back pocket to get at the battery. All I had was a monkey wrench. Put them together though, could play some hockey. I don't know about street hockey, but I did play a round of miniature golf with a ratcheting breaker bar.

Free* just pay additional fee...rant on: what's with all the free offers on infomercials that say free, just pay additional processing and handling, or additional fee or whatever. how exactly is that free??? what is processing and handling? processing is half the cost, handling is the other half.

why not quit lying and just say "we'll double the offer for slightly less but we're still covering our costs and making a profit"

ok rant off...

I own a blue one. Still has the tag on it. Mine has a ratchet set in the center with a nice smooth action.

Now I know when it was the new innovation in home handyman tools. Cool.

Another puckish palm ratchet claims to give maximum torque with aluminum threads. :headscrat

Thanks for posting this! I really needed to see something like it this morning. It was so amazing I caught temporary blindness from it.

I guess removing a fastener with this is to puck off.

Down toward the lower left of the insert card....I know I don't get out a lot anymore but I've never seen a 12pt bolt before. Guess that's the latest thing.

I can hear the jingle now....Puck-on da da puck-off da da puck-on puck-off The Pucker

10 or 15 years???

Um, I was buying (well, getting free) Thorsen in 1972, and it was made in India. Worse than you would believe.

I have a lot of American made Thorsen, and it is way older.

Shame to see these old USA brand names being whored out for chinese ****.

I've got a set of satin finish Thoresn metric combo's that I bought back in '72 when I got out of the AF. Still my favorite "go to" wrenches....

I think they give away free puck lights, just to get you warmed up for that puck wrench.

What's all this talk of puking about? :puke:
It's about a bunch of clueless guys who never owned that tool, but chose to laugh at people who may find it useful occasionally. You can get that tool for less than $5! For those who don't want to pretend to be a pro, that tool can definitely be useful for tighten up a loose bolt on the kids bike and around the house.

I just don't see anything it will do that I cant tackle with simple tools most people already own. E.G. an adjustable wrench.

I know it isn't $5.00 but my first choice for anything that puck will do is the Knipex 86 03 125.

What happened to the "edit" button?

I was going to add a photo to post #56 above, but no way to edit

(Hmmm, now the edit button seems to be back - wonder what happened....)

I always laugh when I puke, so I'd probably laugh if I pucked again.

Actually, my son rides mountain bikes and packs something like that instead of a tool roll to save weight/space.
