I'm considering white epoxy or polyaspartic product like Nohr or Rust Bullet with flakes but I want to know real world longer term wear characteristics of the lighter color. Please chime in on maintenance and upkeep required for keeping floor looking good.

Would you do it again?

Thanks

While I don't have a white floor in my own garage, the collision shop I have used multiple times for collisions with deer since 2005 has always had a white floor and they actually do all the repairs on that floor even though it looks better than most showrooms. Evey time I go there I am amazed at how clean and damage free the shop floor is. Here is a link:

Make sure you end with a clear-coat. White with a clear is 100% easier to maintain then white as the sacrificial coat.

What Scotty said. I used a pigmented sealer (not nearly as tough as epoxy) and love the white floor. Next time I would use a 100% epoxy product (to fill small pockets) and top coat with urethane. One of the keys to cleaning a white floor is to make sure it is smooth. Craters and pits will hold dirt...hence the 100% solids and urethane top coat for wear resistance.

Get yourself a commercial mop and bucket. You will love a white floor.

We have sold lots of garages and many, many hangars in white. It's mandatory to use a white pigmented non yellowing urethane topcoat as if you use a clear over white epoxy alone it will turn gray and yellow over time, especially if any sun hits it in ares as true epoxies are not uv stable and without a white protective topcoat you will most likely not be pleased in a year or so.

We had had a number off calls from people over the years that purchase white floors from other suppliers who were not aware of this issue, or failed to advise about it, and we had to come up with systems to repair and recoat these floors.

If you plan on using flecks, apply the white urethane onto the white epoxy and fleck into that, and then apply a clear topcoat. We carry all of these products and can assist with setting up his system for you.

This is a great point that some are not aware of. A white polyurethane as the final color coat will prevent many of the issues people have with white epoxy.

Sounds like some great advise from the experts, I once saw a picture of a race car shop that had white floors and they looks so great. I hope yours turns out also. Please post up pictures of the floor when you are finished.
