Hey Yak, welcome to the journal. Nice to see more michigan people here.
This is a great site for anything garage or tool related.
Look out though, this place will cause you to get the upgrade fever.

Ah yes, Berkley, right next to fashionable ferndale. I'm in Livonia.
Nice 67. i had one like that back in high school, wish i had kept it. I used to know a lot about those old mustangs, i had three in row, 68 coupe, 67 coupe 67 fastback.
Your garage looks like mine does - functional, and there's no harm in that.

Thanks all. My space is fully functional if not all that pretty to look at. But. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day.

:)

Oh, and as far as the 68, thanks.

That is a project I inherited with the passing of my father in law.
I'm very excited to do the build on it, though I have no experience with Detroit iron.
The prospect of learning how to do a resto, and build a pushrod engine is very interesting to me. Lots of research has to happen before I turn a single bolt.

Should be a lot of fun though.

Does your title say 1968? The vents (fake louvers) at the front of the quarter panel where it meets the door are a 67 only item. From your picture it looks like vents, I could be wrong. The 68 had a vertical chrome strip there.
I wonder if it had quarters added at one point.
Is the high beam indicator in the upper middle of your instrument cluster a round light or the mustang logo?

And you mentioned push rod motor, what have you worked on before, rotary's?

I thought I was the only one - then when I found this site I even found a handful more from the UK.

The two great things about this site are the subject - we're all garage, tool and vehicle mad - and the friendliness, all sorts of political persuasion, loads of different attitudes to life etc, but all together and after the odd spat or two, back to being "together" on our subject.

Yep. Quarters have been replaced. Confused the heck out me at first too. Holding a title that 'says' 68. But looked like a 67.

Missed the last question.
Not rotaries (though fairly familiar with them) all of my experience comes from OHC EFI cars.
