Hey guys,
I've been lurking on the site for a while, but never got around to introducing myself or posting much. Anyways, I'm a high school senior from Massachusetts I like woodworking and am getting more and more into automotive work as my budget allows. Thanks to the great ideas I've found on here so far I've already started redoing my garage to better suit my needs. Hopefully I'll get some more ideas from you guys and be able to contribute to the boards as well.

I can post up some garage pictures tomorrow afternoon. As far as tools go I've got a 12 gallon craftsman oiled compressor, a decently large set of hand tools, a dremel 400 xpr, and I'm working on restoring a 1959 craftsman RAS- after that its on to the matching contractors table saw. Luckily, I've got access to all of my dads tools in the basement woodshop- he's got a jet cabinet saw, a craftsman bench top drillpress (which the chuck just wont seem to stay in or spin quite straight), a bench top router table, and an early 80s wood lathe that we need to get running. I've been doing oil changes and basic stuff like that since before I was like 12, but I've never had the opportunity to do much auto work beyond basic maintenance like oil changes and spark plugs etc... the closest I've gotten was installing a cold air intake, customizing the headlights, and using a computer tuner on my 300c. Hopefully I'll be able to get a lift once I get the electrical and flooring done, although it will probably be just a maxjax.

e-tek and bczygan, thanks for the welcome
regguy1, I really like your garage, especially your steel topped workbench, that thing looks solid. Looks like you've got the place extremely well lit too. I've realized how important light is as I've been working on mine seeing as right now I only have 4 100w bulbs in 2 fixtures lighting up my 21x21 garage. How do you like the maxjax, would you call it a better solution than the ever-eternal in ground scissor lift some people have installed? That's the other lift I'm looking at as I need to be able to park 2 cars in the garage each night.
