Is that the 1/4 milwaukee? Impressive.
Curious, Did the ratchet fail under normal or extreme use?

I believe one of the older series of Milwaukee impact guns had a similar problem.

This was one of the later series of guns from back when Milwaukee was using NiCd batteries and the guns were USA made.

From what I understand the older impacts that had the problem, produced very high torque for the time, but after using the for a while they would brake.

Alright for guys so the impact has led a rough. I really used the **** out of it and its taken some small falls. 4 foot at the greatest. I noticed almost a year ago it would make a small thump like while free speed trigeer pulling. It kinda seemed like it was slightly down on power as well. Couldn't do some of the stuff it was doing when new like pulling caliper mounting bolts loose. So when it finally split I was tightening the upper nut on a strut mount bolt let it hammer a few times looked down and boom it split in half.

As for the 90 tooth Mac. It is the Mac daddy 18 incher.. I was really pulling on that thing to get a drain plug loose out of a buddies diesel. It was hella tight I'm no big guy 160 pound tall and skinny pretty much gave it all I had and the plug as well as the ratchet finally broke free. Best guess for what I was putting on it compared to using my torque wrench that's about the same length. I'd say it was well over 200ftlbs. So no complaints just thought I would put it out there..... Should I have have stepped up to my 24" half inch ratchet. Or 30 inch breaker bar, yes. Did I have a good time using my gaint 3/8ths ratchet, hell yes. You pay 100 plus for a ratchet best get your money out of her.
