The Aero Driver is a flat blade screwdriver. You just happen to able to turn the blade around and have a bit driver. Two searches were done to find another screwdriver that would do this, mine and the patent examiner’s. We were unable to find one, doesn’t mean we didn’t miss it, but I haven’t seen it yet.
Thanks for clarifying, sorry if I missed the obvious but thought the new tech was the locking handle. To give a bit of feedback I concur with others in that I dont particularly see the need for my uses. I dont use the shorter non-locking (usually magnetic) bits period and IME the longer ball detent variety tend to be difficult to remove after theyve sat unused awhile. I use the locking handles primarily for the oddball, rarely used, and/or disposable tools like deburring but also have one in the small box I keep on my desk, fewer handles = less space. I dont need storage in the handle, most of my bits are too long/large to fit and I'm rather picky about bit quality anyway which is probably the main reason Im not a buyer.
From a fellow patent holder - good luck either way.
