Thoughts on adding a High-Bay LED light to a ceiling fan?

My new shop has two centrally located ceiling fans that I'd like to add high-bay LED lights to. Has anyone modified a ceiling fan without factory lights to add a high-bay LED light? I can buy an add-on light kit, but the wattage is extremely low and would not work with the 20' ceiling, so I'd like to modify the fan housing to attach a high-bay LED light to hang beneath it and run off of the fans power. With the ability to remote control the fan, I can leave the physical fan switch on to provide constant power to the fan box which would provide power to the light, and just use the fan remote-control to turn the fan on/off. Has anyone ever attempted to do this, or have thoughts on how to execute?

Are you talking about a pendant/UFO style?

I figure any slight imbalance or wobble in the fan could have the pendant swinging around some...
