Thoughts on BendPak Round vs Square Lift Pads

Does anyone have insight on why the round lift pads would be a better option than the square ones. The rounds are a bit smaller, as can be seen in the pic. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

When you hit the square ones with a car tire it can puncture the sidewall. The round ones just rotate with the hit.
Don't ask me how I know this.
