Thoughts on Cadet Com-Pak In wall heaters?

I was looking at the Cadet line of in wall heaters, mainly to conserve space. Has anyone used one of these in a garage application? Would their be sufficient heat from say a 4000 wat unit, like the one here: http://cadetco.com/show_product.php?prodid=1003

At 4000 peak watts on a 240v, I figure around 13,640 btu's, which should be more than suffice for a 20 by 20 space. I had calculated I would need at least 3800 watts or 12 to 13,000btu to heat a 20X20, well insulated garage.

Anyone? Thoughts, suggestions? I really do not want to eat up space in the garage and these little units look like they may be able to do the job quite well. They are relatively inexpensive as well.

You need at least 15,000 btu's for that space, 20,000 would be better. At 13,000 + I would expect your heater to be running a near maximum most of the time which means more $$ . Just my opinion.

I don't know your particulars but consider a ceiliong mount forced hot air (propane or gas) heater. They are efficient and out of the way.

What you save on the heater you'll pay in heating costs...go propane or NG.....
