Hi Guys over the years I have been messing around with different products to see what is a safe product for rubber protection or rubber cleaning
eg
brake job rubber bushing
brake caliper rubber seal around piston.
door seals
wipers
tires etc
few items I use currently
303 was my tire protectant but it makes my tires to brown and a layer of film which I then need to use a degreaser to get off and scrub tires.
I don't use it much anymore
2nd item the dupont rubber saver. this is new to me thought to make that my main product for seals
3rd picture is what I use to clean brake calipers eg (slider pins/bores) to get old grease out before applying new product. I use this over brake cleaner since it is more gentle then brake clean.
It is a aerosol product it does have some solvents so usually I will use compressed air right away to dry product then apply 3m silicone brake lube.
your thoughts of safe products to use for general automotive rubbers?
