I was thinking of one of these two.

Or

I have the Tekton and Snap On 1/4. Both have been fine. I have only seen the Icon stuff at the store. Just want to see what way you guys would go. I have a HF a few Miles from me and they have a 10% coupon right now. I don’t have a So Dealer at my new job so the only way I could get it SO is through eBay or there store. I Kind of like the fact if I have a problem I can take it to the store. With the Covid thing I am still waiting on a few Warranty replacements from so if I had a truck at the shop now it would be a no brainer.

A lot of HF stores are very low on mechanic hand tool stock in my area.

HF is way better than the tekton ones, tekton are the same as the pitts pro ones at HF .
It the only icon ratchets I would bother buying, the pearheads are strong but bulky average effort at lot more buyer cost .
handle a little longer on icon, it 90 tooth and can be stripped by the allen screw and lubed/heart spring adjusted .
Best ones was the old cresent and gearwrench which was a cheap copy of the snapon mechanism but worked great and in 2pc sets was silly cheap at times, gearwrench current roto is shite cheap design as they penny pinch every way they can think of to produce cheaper product ...

I have a few Snap On ratchets that the head moves but I can’t get the angle I need. I saw the gearwrench ones but I have been trying not to but anything Apex if I can help it.

only the old style gearwrench roto worth buying, new style is garbage .
Icon is currently about best of roto head ratchets at sensible price range .

The Icon is nicer than the Tekton/Pittsburgh Pro. Smoother mechanism, can be opened for maintenance and a much better handle for spinning fasteners on/off.

The Pittsburgh can be improved with a handle swap and an overnight dunk in some (clean) ATF or motor oil. Whether the savings are worth the effort is up to you.

If you get the Pittsburgh don't forget the eternal $5 off coupon.
