I've been casually looking for a jointer the past few months. I came across a new Geetech CT-150 on FB for about $400. It's 3 hours away. Comparable Grizzlies are $1200. Thoughts? I couldn't find much on this, but they seem to be an OEM maker for several other brands.

It looks well taken care of, and $400 is less than a Ridgid 6” jointer used to cost a decade or two ago.
I would want to run a hardwood board over it to test it before buying, but $400 sounds reasonable.
I presume the “150” in the model number means 6”.

It's listed as brand new in the box! I think they have 4 of them. I'm not sure if they have one set up to test, but I could ask. It's about a 3-hour drive away, so I can't just go have a look and then think about it.

As I continue to look around, I can't find anything negative about this, other than that there are not very many of them. Looks like it used standard 6" knives, too.
A new Ridgid is $800, but they are listed as out of stock. The cheapest Grizzly is around $1100. Some of the benchtop ones are more than this one.
I just need to figure out if I have enough room in my garage.

Looking at other forums I know, Geetech is the manufacturer of other larger known brands.

Here is a very positive thread.

Here is one on GJ saying the same thing
