I don't really NEED another tool box but this one is interesting me for some reason. The main box looks as if it may be homemade but the two Snap On side boxes look legit. It seems like a good price especially considering that the two side cabinets are SO. Don't get me wrong, I will find **** to put in this thing but its not a necessity at this time. I don't want to make an impulse buy.

Looks to be heavy duty, although not that much storage. Side Snappys look real.

If it's worth $300 to you, then go for it. I'd ask if seller would "sweeten the pot" with some tools if he's dead set on $300 firm. I mean like LOTS of tools that you want as $300 is pretty steep for what I see.

For comparison, I got double stack of Remline toolboxes for $35 last year on CL but had to drive an hour to go pick them up.

Yeah I saw that ad too. Only thing of interest to me was the Snap On side boxes but you can do better IMO.

What would You name that box?

That ProTo cabinet stuffed inside a larger cabinet is beyond HalfassedSatchelAssery.

All the components look robust enough, however, that item would need a proper name.
Are You willing to invest the time needed for this task?

Hey, sorry to jump on your thread but seeing how your local I've got a box you might be interested in...

How about a cool 1980s MATCO top and bottom? Bought it with intention of restoring itbut haven't gotten around to it yet. Draws on inside are clean and slide smoothly. No lock in top and no key in bottom. It's missing some retaining clips but I bought them for it and you can have them if I can find them (LOL). I'll let it go for $300 if you want it. No tools.

Thanks.

I'd pass on the whole enchilada. It's not very efficient (the middle part with the box in a box). Not enough useful storage/drawers.

Crgutt-i was actually looking at that one today as well.

I really would only want the side cabinets so I can see what everyone is saying. That's why I always come to GJ for advice. To prevent making an impulse buy haha.

Quote no worries I just threw it out there. Sent you a PM. You were looking at another box because mine isn't listed for sale. Thanks.

I would likly pay $200 because of the side boxes.
If you want the side boxes then that makes it a decent deal.
For me I would sell the side boxes and turn the center part into a welding bench

It would be a good box for an industrial Maintanace mechanic or electrician in a big plant looks solid enough to push around for years and it not break down. Not ideal for a shop or garage but would be worth that to me if I were closer and looking for a box for work

In my area that would be 600 firm. Anything with Snap On is crazy high in SW Michigan. I wouldn't buy it for 300, there isn't anything there besides the side boxes.

I'd be tempted by it if it was $150 and he included the tools in the pictures and threw in some extra tools on top. I think you're doing right by passing on it.
