Thoughts on what this is a part of?

Hi Folks: I moderate one of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America Chapter forums on Facebook and had someone acquire a whole bunch of old motorcycle parts that I was able to help her identify and attach approximate prices to. Now she has come up with a part that I cannot identify. It looks aluminum and appear to be a bore that a rod may go through as a pivot point. Notice it has a grease zero. Let me throw it out to you all to see if anyone recognizes it.

Dimensions are 6 3/4 long one end is 2 3/4 the other is 3 3/4. Sorry I didn't get an inside diameter.

It looks like I bombed out on inserting the images but they are in the links attached. Sorry about that.

Any thoughts?

That looks like the center housing on an older polaris atv chain drive that fits in the center of the rear swing arm. The eccentric allows you to turn it to adjust chain tension.

Ahh yes kelpaso1 I see what you are saying and found some images of the chain drive and I agree. Thanks for the input.

That's exactly what it is - a rear bearing carrier for an ATV. Honda's look the same. It looks cracked in the second picture - if so, it is garbage. Ebay has them new with bearings for $60 - I'd tell her to chuck it in the nearest scrap pile or garbage can. It's not really worth anything otherwise.
