Anyone ever seen or heard of a thread sizing tool that is on a chain or rope. The guy who told me about it said it had a machined bolt that had male threads on one side and female threads on the other side. He said it was totally flexible like on a chain and it stored really nice. I have some that take up a lot of room, just thought this idea would be cool for the portability.

MSC sells 'em. In most cases I'll take a set of calipers. It's easy to eyeball coarse or fine thread.
