Some guys need help with their thread titles like the example above. Since we can't edit our own thread titles, can the moderators do it if they're not too busy? Just asking.

People can modify their own thread titles, but for some reason, the title as seen on the forum remains the same, but once you open up the thread, the new title displays.
Also, how difficult is it for people to proofread their own titles?! I mean, most titles are at most what, six words or so? Glad that I'm not the only one noticing all the blatant errors.

I used to fix them on occasion, either on my own or due to someone emailing me. Just proofread things as Stuey stated and you should be good...unless of course you really don't know how to spell. In that case I'm sure Merk will notify the authorities so we can get it taken care of.

People are wired differently. For example, when I see a word misspelled or a bad typo, it's almost as if it was highlighted in red and flashing
< kind of like this guy. If they made a bad typo or misspelling in the first place, what makes you think they'll catch it when they "proofread" (assuming they even make the effort)????
Unless they're really bad, I just overlook them and move on. If they're really bad, I'll probably poke the OP with a few e-sharp sticks and then move on.

Firefox spell checks any field, but then a spelling checker does no good when people are clueless like with 'Brake' or 'Break', as in if the wrong word is a real word.
V-Bulletin can be set to give people a real chance to edit their own thread title for a specific length of time. It can also be set so that there is a reasonable length of time to edit a post before the "edited by" notice is triggered. VB can also be set so people have a reasonable length of time to edit their post so the insane amount of quoting seen on this board is unnecessary. Unlimited post editing will come back to bite as the board grows and bandwidth, response time, and server load become problematic.
