Threading and rethreading blind holes

Just a tip to share. I found a quick way to clean out the chips and junk out of blind holes when threading.
I use a foot ball/ball inflater in a blowgun. It gets to the bottom and cleans out the chips faster than any other way I tried.

Everyone probably knows this but be real careful using compressed air to blow out chips.

If you will dip the tap into some axle grease, the chips will stick to the grease that is in the flutes between the threaded portion of the tap. NO need to blow out chips and the tap is getting a little lubrication to boot.

Old machinist trick.
