I want to expand my puller setup to be able to pull a pressed-in race more reliably. I have a slide hammer (Wilmar W89725 ?) with male 5/8-18 threaded end.

edit: Wilmar seems to have a W89742 which has similar sizes so no gain there.

And I have the below set; the coupler with it is 9/16-12 female thread; not sure what the shaft end is, but it's a different thread option as well.

I'd like to have a size or two additional that are bigger than the largest one in the HF set. Fully retracted, the finger hooks are 1.177" o.d.

I might also need to replace that largest one in the set with another, as I need the end of it opened a little bit in it's center.

The "flop 90deg" style with axle bearing puller sets won't work for me.

What are your favorites? Price matters, but the HF stuff is a little rough in operation so "better" is nice.

I never ended up with that style. Simply because I already had an SK 92522 (similar to the SO A78.)

And what I've run into also is the small jaws like that sometimes don't have clearance.

It looks like OTC has their 981 set with an expanded range of coverage
on page 13 http://www2.otctools.com/otctools.com/products/2007catalog/Pullers.pdf

So that's probably the direction I'll head.
