I am working on a Kubota lawn tractor and the service manual calls for using Three Bond 1208D, I can not find that product. Searching for a cross comes up with some posts about Permatex 51813 Anaerobic Gasket Maker and I want to be sure.
When I split this tractor it had a thin bead of what looked like to me soft gray silicone in the small channel on the rear end. And it was just enough to fill the channel, hardly any excess at all.
I do not want to use the wrong stuff and have it leak at this surface, the other half calls for a gasket and it was leaking bad. New gasket on the way.
Any ideas on what gasket sealer I should use.
This is a hydrostatic transmission, the pic on the right mates up to the one on the left.
