I would think the alum tray and 55 gal drum is so you can hose down the floor and let the grey water drain away. Sweet setup and i am already jealous. I am still trying to figure out where to even put a garage with all the trees on my property.

The trough made out or stainless steel its 18' long 13" wide. Its so my brother can wash out his paint booth before he paints. The drum is a collection pit basically. The drain from the trough and gutters all runs into it. Then there is a 8" tile out of the bottom that runs to the ditch.

Update:

We got all the forms made and installed. Just have to finish putting plywood on half of them. Also got 2/3 of the building graded before we ran out of rock and had to get more today. Last night my mom, brother, and I layed down the vapor barrier, 1.5" foam board, and rebar on 1/3 of the building. All the pex showed up for the heated floor. Just waiting on the manifolds. Thats where we are at this point.

I am also posting some pictures of how the inside will be when completed.
