Three way switch and intermittent AFCI tripping

Got a wiring issue.

I used this diagram for wiring a three way switch for a light over my stairs. The switch without the power feed won't trip the AFCI breaker but the one on the other end will intermittently when you flip that switch.

I took this leg of the circuit out and haven't had any issues. I made sure my wiring matches the diagram.

I'm not sure what's wrong. Checked connections and everything is tight.

Confirming the wiring is correct...
and
Change out the 2 three way switch.. buy a commercial grade switch.

Not sure other places. but HD / Lowes have two grade of the switches, home owner cheaper ones, and the some what commercial grade that is more better build... The two I got from 99cent store arcs when ever I turn it off or on... so.. YMMV?

Is your breaker arc fault only or is it arc\GFI?

If it only trips when you flip switch A and never when you flip switch B you could swap the switches around to rule them out if the problem does not move.

A poor connection in one of the travelers that arcs would give you the symptom you described.

Its hard to see in the photo, but it looks like at the light fixture you have 2 white wires with black marker on them.
Did you pick the correct one to connect to the light bulb? One is a neutral and should not be marked black. Did you get the right one?

How old are your AFCIs? Some are subject to nuisance trips.

Disconnect the neutral from your 3 wire romex going to the light at the switch box with incoming power and ohm it out to make sure there isn't any continuity between neutral and ground on the circuit. If the neutral has an intermittent short to ground at the light fixture, it will cause the AFCI to trip.

As others have mentioned, also make sure you aren't switching the neutral going to the light with this configuration, as switching the neutral MAY cause some AFCIs to nuisance trip.

Also, make sure all of your wire nutted connections are good and you don't have any loose connections, as this can also cause the AFCI to trip.

Just my two cents.

My guess is a def
Can’t edit so: Switch. Arcing and causing the accident to trip. I’d first swap switches end to end. See it it follows the sweet or location
