Has anyone had any experience with, or has any knowledge of the product "Thundershield" by Worldwide Industrial Enterprises.

They are running a promotion of nearly 59% off their normal price ($169.00 per Gal.) Was going to wait until after the first of the year to start thinking about my workshop concrete floor, but now I need to cram a bit and figure out whether this will work for me before the promotion ends.

Well, three days and not one response, I guess that pretty much says it all.

Now I won't feel bad when this guy calls back and I tell him that I know a better place for his product but he has to stand up first.

Thanks for your reply. That's about all that I could find also. Seemed to be more con's than pro's. I'll stay with my more recent post.

I may have been just unlucky over the years but anything I painted onto cement just came up. Got fooled again with an industrial epoxy I got at at good price... and thought would do a good job. it's coming up and scrapes off every time I drag the jack or a piece of metal across it.

The problems;
1) Epoxy won't adhere well to slick cement very well. Slick cement should be ground or etched to make it rough... personally, I'm not going to do that!
2) Epoxy doesn't breathe and cement being porous will draw moisture...Epoxy hates moisture and will laminate and come off.
3) Brake fluid will eat anything it touches if left standing, including epoxy.
4) If you put additives like calcium in cement to keep it from freezing overnight when wet, like I did, that can affect the adhesion of epoxy.
5) Old crumbly cement is a definite problem for epoxy.
6) Cement with oil stains, the oil will keep leaching out of the cement and cause epoxy to separate from the cement.
7) I'm sure there are more miladies...

For me, no more epoxy floor paint. I'm looking into Race Deck and Rubber Flooring Inc. not sure when I can afford it or what I will actually end up doing but I'm researching.

I have not heard of them, but their website is noticably devoid of any product detail.

x2 on above post. Website leaves something to be desired..no mention of specifics, site prep, etc. All one would know after reading website is that Thundershield is a coating for wood and concrete...so is Thompson's waterseal. Is it an epoxy? Seems odd to find an epoxy-like coating one could use on exterior wood and concrete.

Just an update, just got a call from the same guy supposedly from Worldwide Industrial and in the process of telling him that I was not interested, he wanted to know why and as I was telling him of the bad reviews I have seen, he was constantly trying to over talk me and when I asked him to let me finish and he would have his turn, he said F##k you, Ron and I hung up. A real good representation of a company

Hopefully, because of this thread, some will be aware of them should they be contacted.

You made the correct decision. I have been dealing with their inferior product since September, and put downs of hours into prepping our 6 thousand square foot garage per their instructions, only to have the stuff peel away and show every tire tread that runs across it. They are a complete scam.

Don't go near this stuff. I should have been suspect when I received their gallon cans with no indication as to product content or any indication as to how to properly prepare the cement surface. The stuff never hardened enough so that every car that ran over the paint left tread marks. A complete scam

I used this stuff. It's definitely a scam product, but here's the kicker. It's holding up very very well. However, I attribute my success with my preparation. I etched the floor really really well. I scrubbed the sh!t out of the floor with Behr etcher. I washed it down, let it dry. This was in the middle of the winter. The floor was cold, I was concerned about paint adhesion. So I heated the floor with an asphalt torch prior to painting.

It took 2 coats, and the paint stunk like hell. I mean the odor was so bad, I had to leave all my windows open in the house for 2 weeks. (dead of winter). The odor lingered around for at least 2 months, maybe more.

It's well over a year, & I can't complain. The floor still looks great.

So, just this week, I did my friends garage floor with latex no odor paint from HD. It's not lifting up, but it's not holding up to foot traffic. It's not washable like the thundershit.

So what exactly is this thundershit, no label in a can ???? It's definitely oil based. It's washable, it holds up to my car, although there are black rubber marks, but it's not lifting. Is it epoxy based ??? It's not 2 part. Does any one know what it is ??? There must be a similar product, made by a real company. All this guy is doing is slapping a label on a can, and reselling it. He's not making it as he claims....
