I am just about ready to put the newly built cart for the Tig and Plasma cutter into paint.

Looking for suggestions on additions and features that make life easier.

So far I have drawers for consumables and spare parts, hooks for cables, provision for tie downs to keep the machines where they belong, safety chains for the tank, a bracket to hold the Tig peddle.

Anything you guys see that I'm missing? Or a add on that would make life easier?

Storage for filler?

I made mine to hold 16 of the 1# size tubes.

There could always be something, if possible I'd say live with it for awhile and by using it you'll discover if there is anything else you'd like.

Sorry I forgot to say that I have space for 4 tubes of filler rod.

That is a sweet looking cart, looks like it is ready for paint too. Any pic from the front?

Thanks. I built over this past winter and the area we use for painting isn't heated very well so I wanted to wait to shoot it. Plus that would give me some time working with it so I could decide if there were any other features I wanted to add. Been using it a lot since we got it last Nov and I haven't thought of a single thing I could want so as soon as I get some free time I'll break it down for paint.

Here's a pic from the front and the back (only other ones I have :D)

Well I gave her a test run, everything fit like I planned/was hoping, all ready to paint in the morning.

If y'all have any suggestions speak up.

Only thing I could think of would be a ring where the bottom of the bottle sits so the bottom of the bottle can't slip off the cart.

Yup got that, just some 1/8th"x1 bent in a U and tacked in position.

Cart is all done, video will be up in a few weeks, there are a few in progress pics on instagram.

Everlast is just filtering through here downunder... how do you like them? Had any issues?

Let me start off by saying I have 2 (Well, I don't own the one at work but I'm the only one there that nows how to use it )

My personal unit is an older (all analog) 225LX model. I had a little bit of an issue with the HF start but after a phone call and them talking me through adjusting the points gap it's performed flawlessly.

I ended up taking it to work for a couple weeks (before we had the one I posted above) to do a project on one the trucks the mig wouldn't do. That among other little projects proved to the boss that buying one was justifiable.

After doing much research, I couldn't get any used machine as capable for what we ended up putting down for the Everlast 250 EX, the water Cooler all the consumables, a ck 20 flex head (50 foot) plus other little things I'm probably forgetting. All told I wanna say it was just under $2400

This newer 250 EX is really a nice machine. As nice as my own older 225 LX is, this is even more so. While the torch that comes with it is passable and usable (although very bulky) I went with the 20 series right from the get go. THe only other thing I anticipated upgrading was the foot pedal. The one that came with my 225 was big bulky and uncomfortable as well as constanly slipping the rack on the pinon gear. I ended up getting an after market pedal for that one and so fully expected to be doing the same when the new 250 EX arrived at work. Well, as it turns out, they now included the upgraded pedal in the package.

I've used the 250EX alot at work and haven;t had any issues or complaints so far.

It's been a great machine.

So, the pedal shown in your pictures is the one that was included? It looks like the one on my Lincoln tig machine. If so they are very nice.

Came out really nice. :thumbup::thumbup:

Only thing I would have added to that would have been a bottle support up higher near the chain is help prevent tipping or leaning over before the chains caught it.

I had the same thought and will add it when I get a chance. Good catch.
