Finally putting a bathroom in my shop. Last year I put an epoxy floor down covering the whole shop and I'm pretty happy with it. I plan on putting tile down in the bathroom. Can I just put the tile down over the epoxy? Do I prep, scuff up the epoxy or some other prep, or do I have to remove the epoxy?

Best answer, remove epoxy and grind concrete. Any other method most likely will have questionable results.

There might be some membranes that the manufacturer will say it is okay to put down over the epoxy but none come to mind without doing research. In the end it will probably be cheaper to grind the epoxy off and tile to the concrete.
