Tile testing

Going to try to test these tile for impact resistance. I got these samples from a couple of different tile distributors. Three of the tiles were represented as industrial and can be used in garage. I plan to drop sockets wrenches, hammers and other heavy stuff to see what it takes to break or crack each one. They are all impervios to chemicals except for maybe the one that looks like a paver, kind of orangish, it's 1/2" thick all the others are 3/8".

Thanks for the offer. I tested them by doing things that actually happen or could happen in my workshop. I dropped different tools and the like from various heights, from 2 to 6 feet. I even dropped a 25 lb. lead brick on them. The tiles that did the best were 2 Crossville tiles. They were able to withstand having a pipe wrench dropped on them from a height of 6 feet without breaking or cracking with one of them not even chipping much. The pipe wrench is what destroyed the other tile. They did pretty good with the other stuff even the lead brick.

The one that is the strongest is an unglazed quarry tile which is 1/2" thick, everything just bounced off it.

I have 2 more quarry tiles to test one is glazed and the other is unglazed both are 1/2" thick.

Interesting testing method in theory, but I'm wondering if there might be many variables in it? For example, what part of the wrench hits the tile could cause more damage, as in PSI vs. a small pointy part vs. a rounder broader or flat part?

How about for... hmmm... say... $700 I send my 7 year old and my 3 year old boys over to bang on them with the pipe wrench!!!
