I've read a bunch of comparison threads but price is a consideration in most. Which one would you choose if you could get them for the same price (210 for timax 235 for mg325 new)? Also which is more reliable and easier to get parts for/repair?

Bought a TImax new a long time ago. It was and is a great tool. I have bought a number of used impacts as tool lots...some MG and some Timax...the timax have always been excellent...and the SO units have ALWAYS been way low on power due to wear. Not scientific, but i do not think the MG guns are near as good a purchase. But, that is just my opinion.
This is what I've found in the last several years of messing with impact wrenches. The 2115 is cheaper, easier to work on, a good gun. They do have flimsy inlet valves and are prone to breakage / and or the rod coming loose in the plastic and then leaking air. They use an Aluminum ? end plate on the motor, prone to wear after time, when this happens power falls off. The MG325 uses steel end plates, they don't seem to ever wear. The MG325's are prone to inlet valves failing, early many times. The MG325 has a stupid small power regulator that no man can get his fingers on to adjust, just terrible. Parts can be got from Snap-On through the mail. Parts for the 2115 can be got through the mail as well.

Much prefer the 2115. It's smaller, lighter, cheaper, quieter, has a MUCH easier to use power regulator and is more comfortable in the hand and yes I've owned both impacts and used them side by side. I no longer have the MG325. That power regulator is truly obnoxious and that stupid rubber handle swells up and gets slimey and slippery.

I like them for different reasons, I like the power of a working mg325, I like the anvil break, the power selector doesn't bother me cause I leave it on max all the time. My SO guns when I had a driver I bought a new one kept it for two years (warranty period) then traded it for a new one then repeat the cycle. Yeah I am sure people think it's wasteful or I am rich or something but it gets used everyday, things wear and it was cheaper in the long run to do that
I actually currently use the Napa version of the gun they, Matco and Cornwell label as there own. I am in love with these guns made by PTP. Quiet and at least as much power as any I have had maybe more.

The 6-1122 is what you must be talking about. Also the Cornwell CAT2150 and Matco MT2138. Those are my top pick for a 3/8" gun as well. 500 ft. lbs, small, light, easy to use. Simply a great gun, almost too strong for a 3/8". The 1/2" versions are just as nice. The PTP made guns have proven with me to be really well made impacts.
For the OP's pick between the two, I'd take the 2115 if I had to live with one or the other.
