Regarding sockets and their drivers in countries that are fully metric, what size are their equivalent drivers for 1/4", 3/8" & 1/2"?

And please don't brand me as anti-American, but quaint as inches, feet and teaspoons are, I wish we'd switch over to metric already!

Is a bit odd, but I suppose if they wanted to force the issue they could start referring to them as 6.35mm, 9.525mm and 12.7mm drives.

It kinda strange that everyone has migrate to metric sockets, but the drive is still fractional ... :)

Me thinks it based on who invented what. This is why spark plugs are 14mm, they were invented in Europe (I think in England) WE invented socket wrenches. The theory sounds good. But I have to say it's BS cause I really don't know.
