Time for a first post....It's an oil pump, for pumping oil, (duh) into fittings that are similar to, but not the same as a grease ******.

the metal thing is a hand pump grease gun(old school). I have one similar. the wooden thing with the blade may be a hand made oyster husker and some spoons?

one of the inside,it is starting to look like some kind of grease devise
but no grease in the thing at all, maybe an air pump of some kind as the tip is spring loaded

BlainenBecky,

Thanks for posting this. I have a similar tool in my "what is it box" so I hope you don't mind me joining your thread here in the never-ending quest for tool knowledge. I agree with you that it must be some sort of grease dispenser. Mine is from W. Germany and has a very small tip on it. The plunger mechanism looks very similar to yours but I am still not sure if you pack it with bulk grease or if there is a cartridge that fit it both of our tools.

Rusty Musket We used a very similar tool on old Heidelburg presses to grease the moving joints on old windmill presses.
