Time for decision on lighting

Its finally time to get the lighting - 22' x 23' x 8' garage/shop.

I have run wiring with 4 switches - and was thinking of 4 rows of 4 strip/wrap lights. With the separate circuits I can turn off the lights that would be blocked if door was up.

I can't decide if I should go with the 2-bulb or 4-bulb units. It seems that most of the HDepo units only differ in the type of wrap or cover.

Suggestions or experiences?

I'm going to be installing lighting in my shop after I finish the tornado damage in the barn. I'm going with 8 foot T-8 four tube fixtures from Lowes, open bulbs with the 6500 Kelvin rated bulbs not the 4100 Kelvin bulbs. They put out about 10,000 Lumens each, about 1/2 of what the 250 Metal Haylides did. The MH were going to cost me over $400 each to replace, they were free the first time around.

Never though about the bugs & dirt - was going with the wrap because I liked the idea of the bulb not being exposed.

I bought my 8'ers here. Good quality light with premium ballasts. They have 4'ers for under $30.

I am also looking to buy some 4' lights but I was always confused at the descriptions because you could have visually identical lights $$$$ apart. I assume this is based on the ballast but how do you determine if one is better than the other? Is the "Philips Advance ICN-2P32-N “NEMA Premium Electronic Ballast” a good ballast and how do you know?
