If you think that's bad take a look at the one below it.

I got one of these given to me from CL around xmas time. They are cheap **** and I can't see them being worth any more than $150.00 new! Mine was so flimsy I almost didn't take it. I've had to beef up the back with some heavy gage sheet metal so it doesn't sway from left to right 6" every time you touch it. It's held together by sheet metal screws and I don't think they make lighter sheet metal than these. I've just built a solid 1/8" steel 5"X2" "L" base with wheels around mine too and will do some thing similar to the top. It is much more solid now. I'd hate to have paid $500.00 for one of these and had to these improvements.

I saw this on Ebay and just about feinted. I have this bottom box, as well as the top box - it was my first rollaway I ever purchased. I have had it for 15 years now. At these prices, I'll sell them and upgrade to Snap On. And the auction was for the bottom box only.......

That will buy you one drawer for a Snap On box. :)

Not worth it to me but if someone had the matching intermediate and top chest it would complete the set for a nice vintage look.

The older C-man boxes were all slides and no ball bearings but they were built better than the flimsy **** they're selling today.

It's a vintage box in nice shape. The metal is thicker and people want that look. He had a good sale.

I have no doubt that they were a more solid design with better, thicker steel but another thing that gets me is the use of the word "portable" through out the description. Moveable yes but portable?

That top box is only 10" deep. He's got it sitting right at the front of the roller but there's lots of space behind it.

I agree, I like the design and how they are semi modular on config but all the newer ones I looked at were cheap feeling. I ended up with one from the 60's or 70's and its very stout. I did add a sheet across the back to close it off, but it certainly wasn't structural. I like the shallow depth and am using it as a island in my garage.

Wish I could find more drawers for mine or just a second one

I have the same one, picked it up a few years ago at a flea market for $25. Had some drawer slide issues but I recently fixed them, and greased them while I was at it.
