Anyone know of a timer that will be a drop in replacement for a switch on a 4-way circuit?

My shop is wired panel to 3 way switch, then to 4 way switch, then to 3 way switch then to the load (lights).

The only option I can find is an intermatic timer, but I would need to have to pull a new wire from the load back to the first switch which is ugly given that all is drywalled, finished, and painted.

As far as I know there isn't a timer to replace a 4 way switch. You would have to get a 3 way timer and use it in place of one of the 3 way switches.I believe those intermatic timers use the light bulb for power for the clock in the timer. If the bulb burns out you lose the time on the clock. They will only work on certain types of lamps.Tork makes a wall switch timer that has a dial on the face with pull out tabs. They were easier for customers to program than the electronic ones.Hope this was some help.

That is what Intermatic has you do. They then have you run a new wire which is PIA.

I guess I could eliminate a switch, but that would not be good as each man door has a light switch.

Anyone else?
