I had an idea to build a timer outlet that lets me control the exact time I charge something like my phone. I saw commercial ones but they're not flexible enough for my tastes. I am a mechanic however and not an electrician. I was wondering if anyone here could help me develop a simple schematic to build one? Thanks in advance.

Google search can help you out on the timer circuit, or would this be easier?
