...Does anyone know the price difference, if any, for Festool stuff here vs in Europe? Wondering if they are cheaper over there being a German company...

From my experience over many decades and more trips to Europe than I can count, there is NOTHING in Europe that's cheaper there than the same thing sold here.

It is pretty cool having a moderator who reads the forum and has a sense of humor.
I had never heard of Timothy Wilmots until this thread. I have spent three days quickly watching almost all his vids. I am not as interested in woodworking and I own no stock in Festool but found his workflow and polished design very interesting. I need to study his setup. There are some gems in there if I can just transplant a chunk of grease monkey and fab shop.
I almost dropped my drink when I read the pvc airline part. They do things differently in Europe.
I thought BMW's and Mercedes were cheaper over in Germany and maybe all of Europe. Since this is just hearsay on my part I was always curious if it was true. If it were I'd assume Festool would be the same also.
That said in no way am I saying you pay HF prices for Festool stuff in Germany. Lol I wish, I would fly over there and buy two of everything!
I also laughed at "bad ***". I thought it was something he could change until I read Ryan's post. I was thinking "man that's a little brazen"!
Welcome aboard Timothy, I'm not a wood worker but my dad is and you're shop is amazing. Not just all the tools and such but how you have it designed to complement your work flow.
Great stuff, I would love to see you start a thread in the Gallery subforum so we can stare at your shop some more

Edit: When I was asking if they were cheaper over there I meant that before such wonderful things like VAT were applied.
