As I understand it, if your not ready to commit to an epoxy or any type of floor paint, you need to at least seal it with some type of water seal. But I have never heard of anyone adding any sort of pigment to it. I was thinking about adding an opaque light gray to mine to add a more uniform tone to my floor. What do you all think of that?

Once you seal it you add a whole new dimension to "floor prep" when you do decide to epoxy. The acid etch will not penetrate a sealer so then you must use other more extreme metheods.

OOps, your right, I said that wrong. I've decided not to go with epoxy and understand that sealer makes everything else a pain in the **** later on.
